About Us

Based in Auckland, we are passionate plant based bakers that specialise in hand crafted custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts. Our aim is to create desserts, that taste and feel just as they were intended, without the cruelty, so our customers will never have to miss out.

Mudita, meaning sympathetic, or unselfish joy, was founded in Malaysia fourteen years ago and three years ago, Mudita Cakes came to New Zealand.

What started off as a home based baking business has blossomed and now we are producing our cakes and desserts in a commercial kitchen at The Foundry 3 in Hobsonville. In addition to our custom desserts, we are also currently supplying desserts to Khu Khu Eatery in Ponsonby and Milford. With more than ten years of baking experience in both Malaysia and New Zealand, we aim to bring our passion and skills to each and every one of our cakes and desserts.
