Who we are

Based in Auckland, we are passionate plant based bakers that specialise in hand crafted custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts. Our aim is to create desserts, that taste and feel just as they were intended, so our customers never feel like they are missing out. 

Mudita, meaning sympathetic, or unselfish joy, was founded in Malaysia fourteen years ago and four years ago, Mudita came to New Zealand.

What started off as a home based baking business has now blossomed into us having a commercial kitchen in Hobsonville and just recently our very first retail outlet in Takapuna. With more than ten years of baking experience in both Malaysia and New Zealand, we aim to bring our passion and skills to each and every one of our cakes and desserts.
